A Faithful Response to Homelessness: Deep Roots at
Deep Roots at Clairvaux Farm is a residential community designed to end the cycle of homelessness in families. We were founded by adults who had experienced homelessness first-hand. They were motivated by a passionate desire to intervene in the chaos that befalls children who are homeless.
"Every morning, I open my screen door and say, 'Thank God we're not in a homeless shelter.'" - Current resident, mother of two children.
Deep Roots provides emergency and transitional housing to families with children. Our beautiful Farm has space to house 10 families with children. We give them a stable place to live while working to move into permanent housing. The young people play on our playground, run through our wide lawns, and eat healthy meals in our bustling dining hall. Their parents receive support to navigate social services, transportation to appointments, case management, debt resolution, and the warm hand of friendship.
